Remove the pre-measured Nutra-Gel cubes
from the tray as needed (cubes pop out like ice
from an ice cube tray). Place gel inside the cage
directly on the bedding or in the food hopper.
Placing the gel inside the cage will help
maintain moisture, particularly in ventilated
cages, as well as provide animals easy access
to the gel. Nutra-gel remains moist in the cage
24 to 48 hours depending on the type of cage
system. If using the Nutra-Gel cups, remove the
gel from the container and slice off the amount
desired.
Note: Most mice consume approximately 10-12
grams of Nutra-Gel per day.
Rats consume approximately 25-60 grams of Nutra-Gel per day depending on strain and age.
